Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Trevally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Vai Cavalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trevally comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck. Vai Cavalo has chosen Tropa de Elite as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gavin Trevally! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabricio Vai Cavalo! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vai Cavalo shoots in looking for a takedown. Trevally tries to sprawl out of it but Vai Cavalo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Trevally manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Trevally misses with a takedown attempt and Vai Cavalo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vai Cavalo. Vai Cavalo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Vai Cavalo tries to free his leg and advance position but Trevally is retaining full guard. Trevally looking to control.
Vai Cavalo trying to control but Trevally is working from the bottom. Vai Cavalo wants to pass the guard but Trevally is keeping the position. Vai Cavalo throws a strike but Trevally rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Vai Cavalo doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trevally wants to control from the top but Vai Cavalo keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vai Cavalo moves into range and clinches up with Trevally. Trevally gets underhooks to prevent Vai Cavalo's takedown attempt.
Trevally drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vai Cavalo gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Vai Cavalo has hold of one of Trevally's legs. Trevally is fighting the takedown attempt but Vai Cavalo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vai Cavalo controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Vai Cavalo looks gassed! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vai Cavalo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trevally swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vai Cavalo controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trevally had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vai Cavalo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Trevally Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vai Cavalo's back instead. I would not like to be Vai Cavalo right now.
Vai Cavalo is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Trevally off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Vai Cavalo trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Trevally is looking to control Vai Cavalo but Vai Cavalo is wriggling around and keeping busy. Vai Cavalo trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Despite being in a bad position, Vai Cavalo is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts. Vai Cavalo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vai Cavalo manages to reverse the position and now he's in Trevally's guard. Nice work there by Vai Cavalo.
Vai Cavalo trying to control the position from guard on top but Trevally is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trevally looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Vai Cavalo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Trevally counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gavin Trevally has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabricio Vai Cavalo. Vai Cavalo keeping moving, preventing Trevally from controlling successfully. Vai Cavalo is pulling down on Trevally's head. It's preventing any offense from Trevally, at least for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vai Cavalo wants to sweep here but Trevally controlling him for the moment. Vai Cavalo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Vai Cavalo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Trevally! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fabricio Vai Cavalo dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Vai Cavalo has his takedown stuffed so Trevally counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gavin Trevally overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vai Cavalo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Trevally passes into side control.
Vai Cavalo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Trevally off and has taken his back! Trevally avoids the strikes from Vai Cavalo. Will Vai Cavalo go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Vai Cavalo thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Trevally trying to control the action but Vai Cavalo just sinks the hooks in. Trevally covering up well under a series of strikes from Vai Cavalo. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Trevally tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vai Cavalo controlling from mount. Vai Cavalo looking to control but Trevally is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vai Cavalo in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Vai Cavalo moves to take his opponent's back. Vai Cavalo is looking for the choke from the back position but Trevally is controlling his hands well. Vai Cavalo is riding his opponent, not letting Trevally buck him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vai Cavalo has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Trevally. Vai Cavalo slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Vai Cavalo. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Trevally just trying to survive but Vai Cavalo is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Vai Cavalo is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Trevally manages to reverse the position and now he's in Vai Cavalo's guard. Nice work there by Trevally.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Trevally works his way back into a safe position though. Vai Cavalo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vai Cavalo gets a clinch. Trevally tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vai Cavalo smiles and moves away.
No luck for Vai Cavalo with that takedown attempt. Trevally has his takedown stuffed and Vai Cavalo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Trevally! Vai Cavalo landing punches. BOOM! Vai Cavalo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Vai Cavalo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Vai Cavalo working the ground and pound effectively.

Vai Cavalo rushes Trevally and presses him up against the cage. Vai Cavalo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Trevally.

Vai Cavalo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Trevally is trying to keep an underhook but Vai Cavalo manages to get the takedown into half guard. Vai Cavalo trying to control from half guard but Trevally is working away. Vai Cavalo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Trevally has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vai Cavalo is working away from the top position though. Trevally wants to improve his position but Vai Cavalo is controlling well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Vai Cavalo controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trevally is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vai Cavalo is figuring out what he wants to do next. Vai Cavalo wants to control but Trevally is keeping him busy. Trevally is looking to improve his position.
Vai Cavalo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Trevally is refusing to be controlled, as Vai Cavalo sits in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Vai Cavalo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Vai Cavalo trying to control the position but Trevally is working away. You can see the frustration on Trevally's face as Vai Cavalo controls the position. Vai Cavalo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Vai Cavalo working the ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trevally is letting Vai Cavalo control him for a moment. Vai Cavalo is looking to take a break and control but Trevally is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Trevally struggling a bit here. Trevally is trying to improve his position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Trevally gets back to half guard. Vai Cavalo is tying to control. Trevally wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Vai Cavalo not landing any meaningful shots this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vai Cavalo in particular looking to stall.
Despite being in the dominant position, Fabricio Vai Cavalo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Trevally tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Excellent takedown into side control there by Trevally. Vai Cavalo is looking to regain half guard here but Trevally keeps moving and retains side control. Vai Cavalo is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Trevally is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Vai Cavalo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Vai Cavalo tries to hold on but Trevally postures up. Gavin Trevally has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vai Cavalo tries to reverse the position but Trevally maintains control.
And that's the end of the fight! Fabricio Vai Cavalo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Vai Cavalo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
