Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Larry Flint! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Alexander! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander scores with a leg kick.
Flint shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Alexander napping and manages to drive through into side control! Alexander is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Flint wants to stand but Alexander has his arm trapped. Alexander is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Flint has just dragged him back down to the mat. Flint trying to control the action but Alexander is working from the bottom. Flint will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flint looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Flint really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Alexander is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Alexander throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Alexander tries to clinch but Flint is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Alexander lands a jab-cross combination.
Flint is rocked!
It looks like Larry Flint has been cut. Alexander clinches up with Flint and pushes him back against the cage. Oh Flint is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Alexander manages to break the clinch.
Alexander moves into range and clinches up with Flint. Alexander avoiding damage.
Flint has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alexander avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Flint can't find room to land a body shot as Alexander controls the action.
Flint seems to have got his legs back now. Alexander has Flint pressed against the cage, preventing Flint from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A head punch blocked on the inside by Alexander. Flint tries to pull guard but Alexander won't allow it.
Flint tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Alexander can't break the clinch.
Flint is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Flint is trying to drag Alexander to the mat but Alexander just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Flint. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander breaks the clinch.
Alexander lands a nice looking kick to the body. Flint takes a step back to recover. Alexander wants to clinch. Alexander drops Flint with a big left hand! Flint is injured, injured bad! Alexander jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
