Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nik Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Gordy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nik Volkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Volkov.
Volkov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gordy is trying to get back to his feet.
Volkov happy to just control the position for now.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Volkov landing a few strikes.
Volkov staying calm.
Volkov working the ground and pound from side control.
Volkov prevents Gordy from escaping the position.
Volkov cracks Gordy with a big right hand but Gordy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Gordy is trying to get back to his feet.
Gordy dodges the ground and pound from Volkov.
Volkov is looking to take a break and control but Gordy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gordy wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Volkov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gordy avoids it really well and circles away.
Volkov scores with a takedown into Gordy's guard.
Volkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Gordy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Volkov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gordy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Volkov connects with a couple of short punches.
Volkov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gordy's head.
Volkov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gordy is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Volkov has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Gordy taps out instantly and this one is all over!
