Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ege Yilmazoglu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Yilmazoglu or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.
Yilmazoglu misses with a head kick.

Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Jackson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Yilmazoglu to his feet.

Jackson drives through and clinches with Yilmazoglu against the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Yilmazoglu lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


It looks like Carlos Jackson has been cut.
Jackson prevents a takedown attempt there.

Yilmazoglu is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jackson can't fight it off and eventually Yilmazoglu manages to take the fight to the floor. Jackson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jackson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Yilmazoglu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Yilmazoglu is looking to get back to full guard here but Jackson has managed to pass to side control instead.

Jackson wants to clinch up but Yilmazoglu keeps it at a distance.

and Jackson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Yilmazoglu has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle.

Yilmazoglu can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson avoids the attempt from Yilmazoglu to control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jackson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Yilmazoglu tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jackson lands a big elbow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yilmazoglu wants to control but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Yilmazoglu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Yilmazoglu sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Carlos Jackson.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Yilmazoglu tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Yilmazoglu tries to improve his position but instead Jackson has taken his back!
Jackson gets his hands free as Yilmazoglu looks to control.
Jackson controlling well, preventing Yilmazoglu from escaping the position.
Jackson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Yilmazoglu's body.
Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Yilmazoglu grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Jackson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Yilmazoglu has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Yilmazoglu just trying to survive but Jackson is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Jackson is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jackson lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Yilmazoglu.
Yilmazoglu is trapped and Jackson is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Carlos Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
