Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beast Mode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter comes to the ring accompanied by THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT. Mode has chosen get up get down as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mode shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Potter as he avoids it easily.
Potter looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Potter stuffs the takedown.
No luck for Mode with that takedown attempt.
Carter Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beast Mode.
Mode fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Potter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mode.

Potter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mode is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Mode looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Potter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Potter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mode with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mode makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mode.

Mode has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Potter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mode had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Potter defends it easily.

Potter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Potter tries to free his leg and advance position but Mode is retaining full guard.

Mode escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Potter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mode is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Potter defends well.

Mode looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Potter working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mode's head.

Mode is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
