Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Justus Sheehan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Self (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheehan comes to the cage accompanied by Coming Home. Justus Sheehan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justus Sheehan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Self! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sheehan punishes Self's body with a nice straight punch. Sheehan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sheehan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sheehan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sheehan moves in looking to clinch but Self pushes him off. Sheehan is looking to clinch but Self is avoiding it.
Sheehan looks to land a combination but Self avoids it well. Self fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sheehan sprawls well initially but Self persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Self trying to control the action but Sheehan is working from the bottom. Sheehan regains full guard. Nicely done. Sheehan pulls Self in to control the position. Sheehan is trying to keep Self in close.
Selfis looking to pass into half guard but Sheehan pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Sheehan is in guard. Sheehan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheehan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Self works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Self is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sheehan is stalling in the full guard. Self controls Sheehan momentarily but Sheehan frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sheehan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sheehan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sheehan looking to pass the guard. Self is trying to keep Sheehan in close.
Sheehan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sheehan trying to control but Self is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Self swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sheehan counters with a two punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sheehan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Sheehan clinches up with Self and pushes him back against the cage. Sheehan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Self fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sheehan lands a jab-cross combination. Self with a lazy takedown attempt and Sheehan counters by clinching up. Self looks gassed! Sheehan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Self pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sheehan pressing his opponent against the cage. Sheehan has Self pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Self manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justus Sheehan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sheehan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Self regains guard.
Sheehan trying to control the position from guard on top but Self is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sheehan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Self is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Self is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Self keeping full guard, as Sheehan tries to pass. Sheehan forces his way into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sheehan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Self sees it coming and defends easily. Sheehan is looking to take a break and control but Self is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Self wants to control but Sheehan is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justus Sheehan dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sheehan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sheehan has Self pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Self manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Self is pressed up against the cage. Sheehan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Self down to the mat. Self avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Self misses with a shot to the body and Sheehan counters with a three punch combo that has Self backing up. Self nods at Sheehan to acknowledge the strikes. Sheehan scores with a jab. Self acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Sheehan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Self, pushing him back against the cage. Sheehan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Self pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justus Sheehan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sheehan has picked Self up - he's going for a ride! Sheehan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sheehan thows a huge punch but Self dodges it nicely.
Sheehan passes to full mount! Sheehan blocks Self's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Sheehan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Self to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Self shrugs it off. Self blocking the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Self wants to control but Sheehan is having none of it. Self is breathing heavily. A nice elbow there by Sheehan. Sheehan trying to control but Self is having none of it. Self trying desperately to get to his feet.
Sheehan moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Self has worked his arm free - good work by Self!
Sheehan has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Self!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sheehan looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Sheehan is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Self has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Self! Self thows a big elbow that misses. Self stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sheehan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Self preventing the sweep. Self looking to pass the guard. Sheehan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sheehan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sheehan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Self tries to lock up and control but Sheehan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sheehan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Sheehan is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Self has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Self! Sheehan trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justus Sheehan dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Sheehan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Self gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sheehan throws a knee to the head but misses.
Self wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sheehan has him pressed against the cage. Sheehan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Self regains guard immediately. Sheehan forces his way into half guard. Sheehan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sheehan wants to control but Self is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheehan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sheehan is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sheehan is trying to control the action in half guard but Self is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sheehan is looking for a kimura but Self is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sheehan to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sheehan is working for an americana but Self has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Sheehan was thinking about the submission. Sheehan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Self is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sheehan, into his guard. Justus Sheehan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Self content to stall in guard here. Self slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Self with the ground and pound but Sheehan regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Sheehan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Self's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Self's back! Sheehan is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Sheehan throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Sheehan looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Self is controlling Sheehan 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Self looking to sit in guard and control but Sheehan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Self lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sheehan! Sheehan tries to reverse the position but Self maintains control.
And that's the end of the fight! Justus Sheehan showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sheehan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
