Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Parkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Teddy Parkinson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Khan! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan misses with a straight left. Some wild striking there from Khan.
Parkinson ducks under a wild hook from Khan. Khan throws a series of punches but Parkinson avoids them all with ease. Khan throws a hook to the side of Parkinson's head but Parkinson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Parkinson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Parkinson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Khan is looking to break free of the clinch but Parkinson has double underhooks. Parkinson breaks from the clinch.
Khan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Parkinson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Khan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Khan takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Parkinson moves away from the strike by Khan. Parkinson throws a body punch but Khan moves out of range. Khan throws a lazy right hand but Parkinson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Parkinson drives through and clinches with Khan against the cage.

Parkinson prevents Khan from breaking the clinch. Parkinson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Parkinson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Khan is trying to break free. Parkinson lands a nice shot to the body. Parkinson lands a damaging elbow. Parkinson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Parkinson throws an elbow that misses.
The is referee keeping an eye on Parkinson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Parkinson lands a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Parkinson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Parkinson softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Parkinson throws an elbow but it misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Parkinson. Khan takes an elbow to the temple. Parkinson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Khan regains guard.
Khan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Parkinson thows a big elbow that misses. Khan wants to stand up but Parkinson is controlling him. Khan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Khan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Parkinson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Khan has his foot on Parkinson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parkinson works his way back into a safe position though. Parkinson wants to pass the guard but Khan is keeping the position. Khan tries to strike from the bottom.
Khan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Parkinson trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom. Khan working for a triangle but Parkinson defends it easily.
Khan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parkinson is one step ahead there. Khan looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parkinson advances position into side control! Khan regains half guard. Parkinson lands strikes from half guard. Khan tries to kick Parkinson off but Parkinson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Khan works his way to full guard. Good work. Khan keeping moving, preventing Parkinson from controlling successfully. Khan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parkinson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Khan wants to sweep here but Parkinson controlling him for the moment.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Parkinson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Khan.
Khan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Khan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Parkinson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Parkinson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Khan is out of range and Parkinson settles back down. Khan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Parkinson is fending him off so far but Khan persists. Nope, Parkinson circles away and we're back to standing. Leonard Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parkinson throws a sloppy head kick and Khan moves out of range easily. Parkinson darts in and clinches Khan up against the cage. Khan tries to score a body lock takedown but Parkinson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Parkinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Khan looks to land a right hand but Parkinson moved out of range. Khan gets caught flat footed, as Parkinson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Parkinson slips nicely into half guard. Parkinson is looking to take a break and control but Khan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Parkinson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Parkinson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Khan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Parkinson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Parkinson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Khan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Khan is looking to sinch up a triangle. Parkinson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Khan's body to avoid the submission. Khan has instead reached around Parkinson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Khan arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Leonard Khan! Leonard Khan is the new lightweight champion!
