Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ramon The Diamond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clarence Azarcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ramon The Diamond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clarence Azarcon!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Diamond fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Azarcon sprawls well initially but The Diamond persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Azarcon looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Azarcon is not content to let The Diamond control the position.
Azarcon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Azarcon pushes The Diamond off looking to stand but The Diamond dives back in and keeps control.
Azarcon tries to get to full guard but The Diamond has control of the leg.
The Diamond wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
No luck for The Diamond with that takedown attempt.
The Diamond has a takedown stuffed.
Azarcon goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Azarcon has managed to clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for The Diamond.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Azarcon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite The Diamond's efforts to push away.
Azarcon wants to get back to striking at distance but The Diamond won't allow it.
The Diamond looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Nice elbow from The Diamond.
The Diamond is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Azarcon breaks from the clinch.

Azarcon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches The Diamond napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Azarcon looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The Diamond pushes Azarcon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Azarcon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Azarcon stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Azarcon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. The Diamond was covering up waiting for the punch and Azarcon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Azarcon passes The Diamond's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Azarcon stops The Diamond from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Azarcon content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Azarcon is thwarting The Diamond's attempts to control the position.
Azarcon thows a huge punch but The Diamond dodges it nicely.
The Diamond is looking for a sweep. Azarcon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Azarcon postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for The Diamond to stand up.
The Diamond has his takedown stuffed

and Azarcon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in The Diamond's guard now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clarence Azarcon dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The Diamond wants to clinch

so Azarcon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Azarcon stops The Diamond from standing up.
Azarcon content to stall in guard here.
The Diamond trying to keep a closed guard but Azarcon is proving a slippery customer.
Azarcon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The Diamond is wriggling around but Azarcon manages to pass to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Azarcon stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows The Diamond to get to his feet.
The Diamond scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Azarcon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Azarcon stands up from The Diamond's guard - Azarcon perhaps looking for a knockout.

and Azarcon counters by clinching up.

Azarcon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ramon The Diamond is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Azarcon misses with a head kick.

The Diamond scores with a takedown into Azarcon's guard.
The Diamond is looking to stand up but Azarcon won't let him.
The Diamond stopping the sweep attempt from Azarcon.
Azarcon keeping moving, preventing The Diamond from controlling successfully.
Azarcon has a closed guard, preventing The Diamond from standing up.

Azarcon has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes The Diamond off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Azarcon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Diamond is trying to defend but Azarcon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Azarcon drops an elbow to the side of The Diamond's head.

Azarcon has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can The Diamond defend it? Azarcon steps over the head and cranks it - The Diamond is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Azarcon!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Clarence Azarcon!
