Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Sebastien Blais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blais has chosen Metallica - One as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Paul Jones has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Paul Jones seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jean Sebastien Blais! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones looks for the body kick but Blais saw that one coming. Blais fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. Blais misses with the combination.
Blais throws a one two combo.
Jones looks for the body kick but Blais saw that one coming. Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Blais. Jones misses with a straight right. Jones throws a head kick that misses. Blais lands the left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blais throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blais pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jones is out of range and Blais settles back down. Jean Sebastien Blais seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones throws a head kick but Blais moves out of range.

Jones bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Jones throws a half hearted mid kick. Jones tries to land a front kick but Blais steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Blais misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Blais misses with an uppercut. A slow jab from Blais misses its intended target. Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blais.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blais takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Blais looks gassed! Blais moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jones falls off balance throwing a combination
and Blais counters with a nice double leg into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones has his hands on Blais's head, controlling the position. Jones is looking for a triangle but Blais pushes his legs off easily.
Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blais's guard. Blais looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blais has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though. Blais looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Blais is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jean Sebastien Blais dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A slapping body kick lands there for Jones. Blais moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
Paul Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones moves away from the strike by Blais. Jones throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jones throws a body kick that misses. A punch combination from Blais misses. Jones throws a push kick but Blais slaps the foot to one side. Blais shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket. Paul Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones throws a nice inside leg kick. Blais misses with a double jab
and Blais takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Blais is breathing heavily. Blais tries to work over Jones's front leg with a kick but Jones checks it. Left hook, right uppercut from Jones. Blais takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Jones lands with a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice body kick there by Jones. Jones lands with a nice body kick. Blais has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jones. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jones. Blais shrugs it off though. Jones looks to land a body kick but Blais moved away. Blais has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Jones. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jones - that will leave a mark!
Jones throws a head kick but Blais moves out of range.
Jones misses with a body kick. Jones lands a right hook to the body.
Paul Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Blais's head back.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jones lands with a nice body kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.
Blais takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jones throws a series of punches but Blais moves out of range. Blais steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jones. That one must have hurt. Blais misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Blais misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Blais has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jones. Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones throws a head kick that Blais semi-blocks.

Paul Jones dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Blais swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with an inside leg kick. Jones takes one to the side of the head.

Jones feints and then cracks Blais's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blais down. A thudding body kick lands there by Jones!
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jones throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones leaves Blais with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jones misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throws a half hearted mid kick. Blais misses with a jab, cross combination.
Blais moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
Blais chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.

Blais dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Blais's head and hops out. A head kick by Blais misses and Jones counters with a thumping low kick. Jones scores with a kick to the midsection. Jones cracks Blais with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Jean Sebastien Blais has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jones. Blais shrugs it off though. Blais moves out of range as Jones throws a body kick.
Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jones looks for the body kick but Blais saw that one coming. Blais drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blais trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blais on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blais tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Blais working away. Blais trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Blais cracks Jones with an elbow. That is naaassty. Jones wants to control but Blais postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Blais misses with a straight left. Jones misses with a head kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Jones. A kick lands to the mid section there for Jones. Blais throws a right and a left that both miss. Blais takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Jones connects with a high kick. Blais swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Jones showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
