Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Pol Tri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rey Mysterio! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tri defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mysterio. Mysterio keeps the fight on the outside. Tri is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mysterio scores with a takedown into Tri's guard. Mysterio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mysterio has managed to get both his arms back between Tri's legs - danger averted. Tri is looking for a triangle but Mysterio pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tri throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mysterio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tri keeping full guard, as Mysterio tries to pass. Tri has his foot on Mysterio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mysterio works his way back into a safe position though. Tri is breathing heavily. Mysterio drops back looking for a leg! Tri is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tri manages to kick Mysterio off! Mysterio jumps back into Tri's guard. Mysterio pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tri is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tri looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Mysterio has his hands clasped together but Tri extends an breaks Mysterio's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Tri.
