Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mo Kendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Ruent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mo Kendo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Ruent! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruent motions for Kendo to come forward. Ruent throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kendo. Ruent blocks a head kick by Kendo.
Kendo misses with a low kick. Kendo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ruent cracks the inside of Kendo's front leg. Kendo misses with a two punch combination.
Kendo shoots in but no luck this time. Kendo throws the kick towards the body but Ruent avoids it. Ruent plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Mo Kendo has been cut. Kendo throws a sloppy head kick and Ruent counters with a three punch combo that has Kendo backing up. Kendo nods at Ruent to acknowledge the strikes. Kendo moves out of range of the body kick. Kendo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ruent counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mo Kendo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ruent throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Kendo counters with a nice body shot. Kendo misses with the body kick and Ruent counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruent controls the position. Ruent tries to move to full mount but Kendo actually manages to regain half guard. Ruent is figuring out what he wants to do next. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruent works his way into side control. Kendo is looking for a sweep. Ruent trying to control the action but Kendo is working from the bottom. Kendo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ruent's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kendo works his way to full guard. Good work. Kendo wants to sweep but no luck. Kendo keeping moving, preventing Ruent from controlling successfully. Ruent content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kendo trying to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pete Ruent. Kendo tries for a takedown but Ruent circles away easily and Ruent counters with an outside leg kick.
Kendo is breathing heavily. Kendo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ruent counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kendo won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruent controlling the position from side mount. Ruent lands a decent elbow from side control. A lull in the action here. Ruent lands a nice forearm strike. Ruent scores with a couple of short elbows. Kendo gets back to half guard. Kendo has hold of Ruent's hands but Ruent slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ruent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kendo keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kendo is trying to get back to full guard. Ruent tries to pass to full mount but Kendo defends it. Ruent passes to full mount! Ruent landing strikes from the mount. Kendo is looking to improve his position but Ruent isn't that keen on the idea. Ruent scoring with strikes but Kendo is staying in there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ruent wants to control the pace but Kendo is squirming around nicely. Kendo tries to reverse the position but Ruent maintains control. Ruent controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Ruent dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mo Kendo's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ruent just misses with a punch to the body.
Kendo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kendo shoots and misses letting Ruent counter with a right hand. Ruent pushes Kendo away with a front kick. Ruent scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Nice shot by Ruent. Ruent lands with an overhand left. Kendo tries for a takedown but Ruent circles away easily and Ruent counters with a stiff right hand. Pete Ruent seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ruent lands with a good body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ruent lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Ruent lands with a shot to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. An inside leg kick lands from Ruent. Kendo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ruent cracks Kendo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Kendo takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ruent closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ruent has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kendo! Kendo taking shots to the head. Ruent can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kendo is looking to escape. Ruent controlling from mount. Ruent is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ruent lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kendo hang on? Ruent trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ruent might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kendo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Ruent looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Kendo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ruent can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kendo is looking to escape. Ruent looking to finish Kendo with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kendo! Kendo tries to hold on but Ruent pushes him away. Kendo is looking to improve his position but Ruent isn't that keen on the idea. Ruent content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruent lands a big shot there that rocks Kendo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
A nice elbow there by Ruent. Ruent working for a guillotine from mount but Kendo is in no mood to give up. Ruent has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kendo's face.
Kendo tries to hold on but Ruent postures up. Ruent wants to control the pace but Kendo is squirming around nicely. Ruent controlling the position easily from mount. Ruent prevents Kendo from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruent cracks Kendo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The referee warns Kendo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Ruent lands a heavy elbow. Ruent takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ruent prevents Kendo from getting the reversal. Ruent dominating with strikes here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ruent working the ground and pound effectively.
Pete Ruent has got the better of the ground game so far. Kendo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Ruent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mo Kendo's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Kendo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ruent ducks under a wild hook from Kendo. The crowd cheers as Ruent lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kendo doesn't seem phased though. Kendo darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ruent throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kendo. Kendo shoots and misses and Ruent counters with a nice body shot. Kendo doesn't succeed with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Ruent lands a jab to Kendo's midsection. Ruent tries to bum rush Kendo with a series of wild strikes but Kendo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kendo has his takedown stuffed and Ruent makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mo Kendo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ruent buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kendo is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruent connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ruent throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A nice leg kick lands there from Ruent. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ruent.
Ruent gets a takedown into half guard. Ruent is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ruent drops an elbow to the side of Kendo's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ruent tries to pass to full mount but Kendo defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruent is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kendo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ruent scores with a couple of nice shots. Ruent is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ruent looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kendo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kendo has hold of Ruent's hands but Ruent slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kendo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ruent chips away with some ground and pound. Kendo working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Ruent has passed into half guard!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruent keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Ruent lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Ruent slips a nice elbow through Kendo's hands, connecting with Kendo's forehead. Ruent controlling the action here. Ruent moves nicely into side control. Kendo is trying to get back to half guard. Ruent looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruent in side control lands a decent elbow. Kendo is trying to work for a sweep but Ruent has mounted him! Pete Ruent is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kendo is trying to escape the mount.
Ruent avoids the attempt from Kendo to control. Ruent controlling the pace for now. Mo Kendo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ruent has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Ruent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ruent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
