Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blaine Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Daugherty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cameron Daugherty was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blaine Bishop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cameron Daugherty! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daugherty gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bishop is working for takedown but Daugherty is calmly controlling the position for now. Daugherty gets control of Bishop's arms and successfully pulls guard. Daugherty will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Daugherty is pulling down on Bishop's head to control his posture. Bishop trying to control but Daugherty is working from the bottom. Daugherty seems keen to control Bishop's posture. Bishop gets to his feet - Daugherty follows without any prompting. Bishop misses with a double jab.
Bishop shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daugherty sprawls well. Daugherty wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bishop gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daugherty throws a leg kick which misses Bishop's front leg but catches the back leg as Bishop tries to avoid it. Daugherty changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bishop looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Daugherty stands up. Some wild striking there from Bishop.
Bishop tries to clinch and Daugherty counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bishop won't be happy with that. Daugherty is looking to take a break and control but Bishop is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Daugherty working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Bishop is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee asks Daugherty politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Daugherty prefers to stall for the moment though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Daugherty wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bishop, who protects the arm well. Bishop is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bishop manages to get back to half guard. Daugherty slows the pace down in half guard. Daugherty wants to stand up but Bishop has a hold of him and won't allow it. Bishop moves into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Daugherty wants to stand but Bishop is controlling his posture from full guard. Daugherty thows a big elbow that misses. Bishop striking off his back but it's not causing Daugherty any problems. Bishop wants to sweep but no luck. Daugherty is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bishop keeping full guard, as Daugherty tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cameron Daugherty dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bishop closes the distance but Daugherty moves to the side and Daugherty counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bishop won't be happy with that. Daugherty grinds an elbow into Bishop's temple. Daugherty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bishop. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bishop tries to bench press Daugherty off him but Daugherty keeps the position. Bishop struggling a bit here. Daugherty decides to stand back up. Daugherty steps back and let's Bishop get back to his feet. Daugherty moves into the clinch. Bishop is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Daugherty is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bishop can't fight it off and eventually Daugherty manages to take the fight to the floor. Bishop looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bishop wants to sweep here but Daugherty controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daugherty pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bishop is keeping the position for now. Daugherty missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bishop trying to keep a closed guard but Daugherty is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Daugherty gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Bishop wants to clinch and Daugherty counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bishop manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Daugherty darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bishop trying to hold on to Daugherty's head to control him but Daugherty postures up.
Bishop is defending against the submission attempts here by Daugherty.
Bishop has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Daugherty is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daugherty thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Cameron Daugherty has got the better of the ground game so far. Bishop tries to get to full guard but Daugherty has control of the leg. Daugherty thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bishop's head. Bishop is looking to control Daugherty's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bishop avoid being mounted? Daugherty prevents Bishop from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Daugherty darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Daugherty not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bishop wants to get back to full guard. Daugherty is looking to take a break and control but Bishop is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Daugherty is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cameron Daugherty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Bishop is trying to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daugherty stands up and we're back to a striking position. Bishop swings for the body but Daugherty moves out of range.
Daugherty is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bishop shoots and misses and Daugherty counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bishop's guard now. Bishop pushes Daugherty off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Daugherty is pressing down on Bishop's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bishop is holding on for now. Daugherty not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Daugherty thows a huge punch but Bishop dodges it nicely.

Daugherty looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Bishop wants to control but Daugherty is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bishop moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Daugherty trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Daugherty wants to get up but he can't break Bishop's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bishop looking to control.
Bishop has a closed guard, preventing Daugherty from standing up. Daugherty slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Daugherty wants to control from the top but Bishop keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bishop tries to land a sweep but no joy. Daugherty slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bishop wants to clinch and Daugherty counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Daugherty tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bishop controls his leg. The fighters are battling for position here. Bishop manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Blaine Bishop has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cameron Daugherty is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bishop is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! Cameron Daugherty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Daugherty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
