Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Greg Denai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chael Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denai pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Denai stuffs the takedown attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet.
An inside leg kick lands from Denai.
Denai lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Denai throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lesnar's head.
Lesnar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Denai regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lesnar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Denai will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Denai has his foot on Lesnar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lesnar works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lesnar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Denai is keeping the position for now.
Lesnar trying to control but Denai is working from the bottom.
Lesnar postures up and lands a big shot to Denai's brow.
Denai is looking to sinch up a triangle. Lesnar throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Denai's body to avoid the submission. Denai has instead reached around Lesnar's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Denai arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
