Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hajime Susumu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Crier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crier comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sparks the Rescue - Getting Clean In The Dirty South kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hajime Susumu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Crier! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Susumu slips under a jab. Crier gets the takedown into side control. Crier throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Susumu is looking for a sweep. Susumu manages to get back to half guard. Susumu taking some punishment here, with Crier in his half guard. Susumu blocking the ground and pound attempt from Crier. Crier is just content to waste time from the top position. Susumu takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Susumu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crier's guard. Susumu throws and elbow that misses. Crier uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Susumu's guard. Nice move by Crier! Susumu tries to land a sweep but no joy. Susumu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Susumu has Crier pulled in close to control his posture. Crier is looking to work some ground and pound but Susumu has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Susumu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Crier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Susumu is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Crier fails in his attempt to clinch. Crier keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Susumu connects with a looping right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Susumu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Susumu throws a low kick but Crier avoids it. Susumu thows a left - swing and a miss! Susumu moves in looking to clinch but Crier pushes him off. Susumu throws a head kick that misses. Hajime Susumu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crier avoids the head kick by Susumu.
Susumu moves out of range of the strikes. Crier tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Susumu fails with the takedown and Crier counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Crier.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Susumu is on top in guard.
Susumu loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Susumu postures up in Crier's guard and throws a big left but Crier blocks it. Crier is controlling Susumu's posture. Susumu is working Crier over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Susumu preventing the sweep. Susumu loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Crier is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Susumu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Crier managing to control the position. Susumu wants to control from the top but Crier keeps moving. Crier looking to hit a scissor sweep but Susumu is one step ahead there. Crier looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Susumu puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Crier dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Susumu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Crier defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Susumu. Crier moves away from the strike by Susumu. Crier scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Crier lands an elbow. Crier throws an elbow but Susumu slips to the side and avoids it well. Susumu is looking to regain half guard here but Crier keeps moving and retains side control. Crier works to advance to full mount. Susumu defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Susumu taking shots to the head. Susumu tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Susumu wants to control but Crier is having none of it. Crier pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Crier lands a big elbow. Susumu in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Susumu is desperately trying to improve his position but Crier has a good base and remains in mount. Susumu wants to hold on but Crier pushes him away. Susumu regains half guard. Susumu avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Crier. Crier is nestled in close to Susumu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Susumu tries to roll over but Crier keeps him under control. Crier throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Susumu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Susumu is looking to control Crier's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Susumu avoid being mounted? Crier not landing any meaningful shots this time. Crier is pressing down on Susumu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Susumu is holding on for now. Susumu regains full guard. Nicely done. Crier wants to pass the guard but Susumu is keeping the position. Susumu manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Susumu thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Crier is in all sorts of trouble here.
Susumu throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Susumu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Crier is looking to escape. Poor strikes thrown by Susumu there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Susumu throws a wild left hand from mount and Crier manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. Susumu is nestled in close to Crier, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Crier wants to improve his position but Susumu is controlling well.
Susumu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Crier keeping control of the position. Crier blocking the ground and pound attempt from Susumu. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crier moves into full guard.
Crier avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Crier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Susumu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Crier lands with a cross. Susumu misses with a leg kick. Crier avoids a kick to the body.
Crier tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Susumu paws at him with a jab and circles away. Crier lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Susumu circles away quickly and effectively. Susumu misses with a body shot
and Susumu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Susumu moves into range and clinches up with Crier. Susumu misses with a punch on the inside.
Susumu swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Crier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crier lands a glancing blow to the side of Susumu's head. Susumu thuds a left hand into Crier's body. Susumu misses with the combination.
Susumu tries to clinch but Crier moves away and Crier counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Susumu thows a left - swing and a miss! A big left from Crier misses. Susumu misses with a head kick.
Susumu motions for Crier to come forward. Susumu throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Crier on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Susumu. Susumu obviously looking to wear him down.
Susumu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Crier. Susumu shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Susumu looks to score with a jab to the body but Crier is just out of range. Susumu misses with a hook. Crier ducked under it nicely. Crier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Susumu throws out the jab. Susumu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Susumu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crier uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Susumu. Susumu misses with a body kick. Susumu misses with a body kick. Susumu is looking to score with low kicks. Hajime Susumu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nice body punch from Crier. Crier closes the distance but Susumu moves to the side and Susumu counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Susumu is trying to trip Crier. He has hold of a leg but Crier is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Susumu persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Susumu postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Susumu throwing strikes from guard but Crier blocks nicely. Crier keeping moving, preventing Susumu from controlling successfully. Susumu looking to pass the guard. Crier looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Susumu throwing strikes from guard but Crier blocks nicely. Johnny Crier has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crier preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Susumu pushing down on Crier's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
And that's the end of the fight! Hajime Susumu showed his dominance in that final round. I think Crier has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
