3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Daniels! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels takes the fight into the clinch. A short uppercut from Daniels. Daniels with an attempt at a knee that misses.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Daniels just misses with a elbow thrown towards Fernandez's brow. Fernandez tries to pull guard but Daniels won't allow it.
Daniels looking for a takedown. Daniels tries for a takedown but Fernandez manages to get underhooks.
Daniels wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fernandez has him pressed against the cage. Daniels wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Daniels wants to break free but Fernandez has control.
Daniels fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Freddy Fernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan Daniels. Daniels is looking to break free of the clinch but Fernandez has double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniels goes for a takedown in the clinch but Fernandez prevents it.
Daniels drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fernandez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fernandez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Daniels pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Fernandez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Daniels gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Fernandez looking for a triangle here. Daniels is fighting it but it looks tight! Fernandez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Daniels is tapping out - this one is all over!
