Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vlad Tepes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rocc Lion!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tepes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lion somewhat.
A swing and a miss from Tepes.
Lion steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tepes. That one must have hurt.
Left hook, right uppercut from Tepes.
Lion fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tepes on the side of the head.
Lion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tepes sprawls well. Tepes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lion gets slowly back to his feet.
Tepes lands an overhand right.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lion swats away the attempt to clinch by Tepes.
Tepes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lion looks gassed!
Tepes has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tepes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tepes has closed the distance and engaged Lion in a clinch.
Tepes breaks from the clinch.
Tepes lands with a hook. Lion tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd cheers as Tepes lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lion doesn't seem phased though.
Tepes lands with a big left! Lion is wobbled badly! Tepes comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Lion to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vlad Tepes!
