And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around padilla's waist but padilla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Novak off to one side.
Novak shoots in but no luck this time.
Novak fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksander Novak. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

padilla dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Novak. That did some damage!
Novak is breathing heavily.
Novak throws a head kick that misses.
Novak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says padilla as he avoids it easily.
adolfo padilla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
padilla tries to clinch but Novak is having none of it.

padilla lands a left and a right that send Novak crashing to the mat, dazed. padilla thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Aleksander Novak has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
padilla connects with a stiff jab that staggers Novak - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
