Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim ILJONG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lester Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ILJONG comes to the cage accompanied by Jeff Healey Band - When the Night Comes Falling From the Sky. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ILJONG cracks Pearson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
ILJONG lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Pearson throws out a powerful jab.
Pearson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by ILJONG.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by ILJONG.

Pearson misses with a hook.
ILJONG stuffs the takedown attempt from Pearson. Pearson gets slowly back to his feet.
ILJONG tries a head kick but it misses.
A big right from ILJONG misses.
Pearson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
ILJONG throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pearson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pearson fails in his attempt to clinch.
ILJONG connects with a looping right hand.
Pearson lands a jab.
Kim ILJONG seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from ILJONG misses the target.

Pearson fails with a takedown attempt.
ILJONG closes the distance but Pearson moves to the side
and Pearson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
ILJONG throws a left and a right that both miss

and Pearson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in ILJONG's guard now.
ILJONG has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Pearson wants to control from the top but ILJONG keeps moving.
Pearson looking to sit in guard and control but ILJONG gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

ILJONG would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
ILJONG knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pearson on the ground.

and Pearson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Pearson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with ILJONG but ILJONG pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kim ILJONG has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lester Pearson.

ILJONG throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pearson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around ILJONG's waist but ILJONG gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pearson off to one side.
Pearson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says ILJONG as he avoids it easily.

ILJONG scores with a one two! Pearson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Pearson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
ILJONG wants to clinch but Pearson slips to the side
and Pearson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
ILJONG dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pearson. That did some damage!
ILJONG connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pearson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
