Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iroquois Pliskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Campbell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to S.O.S. Pliskin has chosen Metal Gear Solid Main Theme as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Campbell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Iroquois Pliskin! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pliskin moves into the clinch successfully.
Pliskin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Campbell pulls him back up using the underhooks. Campbell stalling the fight.
Pliskin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Pliskin misses with a punch on the inside.
Campbell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pliskin walks away with a smile on his face. Campbell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. No luck with that takedown attempt from Pliskin. Pliskin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pliskin showed some decent athleticism there. Campbell is looking for a sweep. Pliskin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pliskin is thwarting Campbell's attempts to control the position. Pliskin is trying to control the action in half guard but Campbell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Campbell looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campbell is looking for a sweep. Pliskin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pliskin is thwarting Campbell's attempts to control the position. Campbell is in trouble now - Pliskin has advanced to mount! Campbell is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Campbell is trying to escape the mount.
Pliskin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Campbell is looking to escape. Pliskin avoids the attempt from Campbell to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Campbell is squirming around, avoiding Pliskin's attempts to control the action. Pliskin working the ground and pound effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campbell regains half guard. Campbell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Campbell looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pliskin passes into side control.
Pliskin gets to mount! Campbell was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Campbell tries to hold on but Pliskin postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Campbell is desperately trying to improve his position but Pliskin has a good base and remains in mount. Pliskin controlling the pace for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Iroquois Pliskin dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Campbell jabbing away but nothing is landing. Campbell turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Campbell misses with an uppercut. Pliskin saw that one coming. Campbell misses with a straight left. Campbell throws a quick inside leg kick. Campbell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pliskin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Campbell. Pliskin fails with a takedown attempt. Campbell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pliskin's head backwards. Campbell checks the leg kick. Campbell drops Pliskin with a left and a right! Oh, Pliskin is hurt - Campbell dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Iroquois Pliskin has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Campbell just content to control the position. Pliskin is still in real trouble! Can Campbell finish him? Pliskin is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pliskin seems to have recovered his senses. Campbell misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Campbell throws an elbow but Pliskin slips to the side and avoids it well. Campbell controls the position.

Campbell wants to stand but Pliskin has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Campbell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pliskin is keeping the position for now. Pliskin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Campbell manages to get himself to full guard.
Pliskin trying to control the position from guard on top but Campbell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Campbell has his foot on Pliskin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pliskin works his way back into a safe position though. Campbell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pliskin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campbell throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pliskin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Campbell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Campbell trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Campbell is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pliskin is aware though and is defending well. Campbell keeping full guard, as Pliskin tries to pass. Campbell working for a triangle but Pliskin defends it easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Campbell dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Iroquois Pliskin's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Pliskin fails in his attempt to clinch. A big left from Campbell misses. Campbell's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Campbell duly obliges. Campbell misses with a leg kick so Pliskin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Campbell is looking for a triangle but Pliskin pushes his legs off easily.
Campbell keeping moving, preventing Pliskin from controlling successfully. Pliskin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Campbell throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pliskin escapes and throws Campbell's legs to the side, diving into side control! Campbell trying to control but Pliskin flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Campbell turns into Pliskin and is now in his guard.
Campbell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pliskin is proving hard to escape from. Campbell in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pliskin keeping moving, preventing Campbell from controlling successfully. Pliskin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Campbell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Campbell is fighting to break Pliskin's control of his arms but Pliskin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Campbell trying to control the position from guard on top but Pliskin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Campbell wants to stand but Pliskin has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Pliskin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pliskin sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campbell manages to get to full guard.
Pliskin controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Pliskin trying to control but Campbell is working from the bottom. Iroquois Pliskin has got the better of the ground game so far. Campbell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pliskin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Campbell has his foot on Pliskin's thigh. Campbell is trying to control the position but Pliskin postures up. Campbell looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pliskin passes into half guard.
Campbell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! Iroquois Pliskin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pliskin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
