Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rolando Mota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giovanni Torregrossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giovanni Torregrossa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Giovanni Torregrossa!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mota shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mota was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mota throws some wild stikes that Torregrossa manages to avoid easily.
Mota tries to control but Torregrossa wriggling away.
Torregrossa avoids a strike by Mota and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Mota's guard! Fantastic escape!
Mota looking to hit a scissor sweep but Torregrossa is one step ahead there.
Mota has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Mota's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A telegraphed right hand from Mota misses the target.
A slow jab from Mota misses its intended target.
Torregrossa misses with a head kick.
Mota stalks Torregrossa and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Torregrossa's face. Torregrossa staggers backwards, shaken.

Mota wants to control from the top but Torregrossa keeps moving.

Mota lands a strong strike to the head of Torregrossa. That's dazed him! Mota looking to finish here. Torregrossa is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mota lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
