The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Demani. Beautiful body shot.
Demani takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Demani as he jumps to the side.
Maia avoids the body shot from Demani.

Demani lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Demani throws a sloppy head kick and Maia moves out of range easily.

Maia is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Demani to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Demani shrugs it off.
Demani is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Maia is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Demani has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Demani!

Demani is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maia.
