Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Melartin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilmer Theodore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melartin comes to the cage accompanied by Pennywise- Homesick . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Wilmer Theodore was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Theodore misses its intended target.
Theodore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Theodore takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Melartin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Theodore lands with a kick to the temple. Melartin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Theodore takes one to the chin there.
Theodore misses with a wild body shot.
Theodore throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Melartin takes a kick to the side of the head.
Theodore digs a good hook to Melartin's body.
Melartin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Theodore to score with a decent uppercut.
Melartin darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Theodore throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Theodore throws a sloppy head kick and Melartin moves out of range easily.
Theodore misses with a straight left.
Melartin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Theodore can pounce on him.
Melartin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Melartin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rafael Melartin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Melartin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Theodore moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Melartin scores with a jab. Theodore acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Theodore tries to clinch but Melartin is having none of it.
Melartin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Melartin lands a nice shot to the body.
Theodore is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Melartin scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Theodore moves out of range of the strikes.
Melartin scores with the left hand. Theodore knows he should have avoided that one.
Melartin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Theodore takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Theodore doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Melartin getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Melartin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Theodore is rocked!
Melartin misses with a hook. Theodore ducked under it nicely.
Theodore is still on wobbly legs! Can Melartin finish him?
Melartin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Theodore throws a jab but it's blocked by Melartin.
Melartin throws a hook but Theodore blocks it.
Melartin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Theodore.
Melartin slips under a jab from Theodore.
Theodore seems to have recovered his senses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Theodore is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Melartin.
Theodore pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Theodore throws a leg kick but Melartin sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Theodore takes one to the side of the head.

Theodore bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Theodore throws a series of punches but Melartin avoids them all with ease.

Melartin catches Theodore with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Melartin works the jab nicely.
Melartin circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Theodore to the canvas! Theodore doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Melartin keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafael Melartin!
