PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Slackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Luc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slackson comes into the arena with P.I.M.P blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Slackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Luc!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A combination from Slackson does no damage.
Slackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Luc moves out of range of the leg kick from Slackson.
Slackson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Luc doesn't seem bothered though.
Luc tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slackson swivels and escapes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Slackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Slackson misses with a head kick.
Slackson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


It looks like Jean Luc has been cut.
Slackson throws a sloppy head kick and Luc moves out of range easily.
Slackson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Luc backs up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slackson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Slackson is looking to clinch.

Slackson throws a nice head kick!
Slackson throws an overhand right that lands on Luc's shoulder, as Luc tries to avoid the shot.
A jab from Slackson misses.

Luc shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Luc was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Luc is working for a guillotine from mount but Slackson frees his head quite easily.
Slackson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Luc wants to control the pace but Slackson is squirming around nicely.

Luc looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Slackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Luc avoids the attempt from Slackson to control.
Luc content just to control the position here.
Luc trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Luc is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Slackson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Luc is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Slackson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Slackson shrugs it off.

Slackson is working to get back to half guard.
Slackson is working hard here to advance position.
Luc can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Slackson is looking to escape.
Slackson is wriggling around trying to escape.

Luc has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Slackson is forced to tap!
