Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Krammer Hussein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rene Sindac!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sindac misses with a two punch combination.

Hussein fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sindac, pushing him back against the cage.

Hussein breaks from the clinch.
Sindac shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sindac looks gassed!

Hussein bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hussein tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Hussein thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sindac is not content to let Hussein control the position.

Hussein tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hussein has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Krammer Hussein.

and Hussein counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sindac won't be happy with that.
Hussein remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Sindac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hussein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hussein connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sindac some visible discomfort.
Hussein is staying tight to Sindac's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Sindac tries to bench press Hussein off him but Hussein keeps the position.

You can see the frustration on Sindac's face as Hussein controls the position.

Hussein is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sindac is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hussein throws an elbow but Sindac slips to the side and avoids it well.

Sindac tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hussein stands up and beckons Sindac to his feet.

Krammer Hussein dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Hussein shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sindac's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sindac keeping moving, preventing Hussein from controlling successfully.
Hussein postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hussein distracts Sindac with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hussein wants to control from the top but Sindac keeps moving.
Hussein passes Sindac's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hussein frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Hussein is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sindac is surviving well by controlling Hussein's body position as best he can.

Hussein is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Sindac is forced to tap! Great finish!
