PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trollz Sirazlinenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masakato Okazuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sirazlinenko comes to the cage accompanied by Rap das Armas - Tropa de Elite ( Musica ). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Trollz Sirazlinenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Masakato Okazuta!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okazuta shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sirazlinenko is trying to defend but Okazuta finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Sirazlinenko actively working from the bottom here.
Okazuta not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Okazuta seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Okazuta content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

I looks like Okazuta might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Sirazlinenko tries to get to full guard but Okazuta has control of the leg.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Masakato Okazuta.

Sirazlinenko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Okazuta to the mat! Okazuta manages to get full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sirazlinenko drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Okazuta dives on top into guard.
Okazuta seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Sirazlinenko is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Okazuta controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sirazlinenko is breathing heavily.

Let's hope that Okazuta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Masakato Okazuta.
Sirazlinenko paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Okazuta fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sirazlinenko sprawls well initially but Okazuta persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Okazuta lands a nice short elbow.
Okazuta perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Okazuta working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Okazuta seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sirazlinenko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Okazuta closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sirazlinenko to the mat! Sirazlinenko manages to get full guard.
Okazuta connects with a couple of short punches.

Sirazlinenko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Okazuta is aware though and is defending well.
Okazuta content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Okazuta controls from within his opponent's guard.
Okazuta makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Okazuta should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Okazuta is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Okazuta decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Masakato Okazuta has got the better of the ground game so far.

Okazuta in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sirazlinenko tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Okazuta!
