Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Djoni Brener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Vanderpool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Djoni Brener! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sebastian Vanderpool! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vanderpool throws a low kick but Brener avoids it. Brener closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vanderpool to the mat! Vanderpool manages to get full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Brener has gone for a leg lock! Vanderpool slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brener's guard. Vanderpool trying to control the position from guard on top but Brener is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vanderpool slips nicely into half guard. Brener wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vanderpool passes into side control, despite Brener's attempt to control the position.
Brener wants to get back to his feet but Vanderpool drags him back down. Vanderpool is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brener is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Brener is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brener is working hard here to advance position. Vanderpool wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brener keeps working. Vanderpool moves into full mount! Vanderpool working Brener over with strikes here. Vanderpool content just to control the position here. Vanderpool wants to control the pace but Brener is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Brener is wriggling around trying to escape.
Brener is breathing heavily. Brener slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Brener tries to get to full guard but Vanderpool has control of the leg. Vanderpool is nestled in close to Brener, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Vanderpool in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Brener tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Vanderpool!
