Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anjos dives in and grabs Reed's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reed pushes down on Anjos's head and hops out.
Anjos looks to land a combination but Reed avoids it well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Anjos is defended easily by Reed.
Reed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Matt Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reed misses with a straight left.

Reed forces Anjos back against the cage and clinches.
Reed misses with a hook to the ribs.
Anjos goes for a takedown attempt but Reed pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Reed displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anjos.
Reed missing with a left hand there. Anjos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Reed shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reed showed some decent athleticism there.

Reed is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Anjos is just riding it out for now. Reed eventually gives up the hold.

Anjos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reed pulls his head out easily.
Reed thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Anjos is refusing to be controlled, as Reed sits in half guard.

Reed is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Reed is trying to control. Anjos wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Anjos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reed thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Anjos is looking for a triangle but Reed pushes his legs off easily.
Reed must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Anjos is breathing heavily.
Anjos keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.

Anjos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reed defends well.
Reed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anjos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Reed is in close to Anjos's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Anjos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Reed drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reed jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Anjos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reed can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Reed keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Anjos's head.
Reed stands up over Anjos, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Reed advances position into side control!
Reed scoring with punches from side control.

Reed wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Anjos, who protects the arm well.
Reed looks up at the clock and then as Anjos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Reed smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Reed wants to control but Anjos is keeping him busy.

Reed is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Anjos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Reed feints and as Anjos raises his hands in defense, Reed changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Reed is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Anjos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Reed throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Anjos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reed.
Reed lands a couple of elbows.

Anjos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reed is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed wants to control from the top but Anjos keeps moving.

Reed avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reed scoring with punches to the head and body.
Reed makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Reed connects with a couple of short punches.
Reed in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Reed drops back looking for a leg! Anjos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Anjos manages to kick Reed off! Reed jumps back into Anjos's guard.

Reed drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Reed as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Anjos screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Reed! Nice submission victory there!
