Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Lidle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liu Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kang's choice of entrance music: Mortal kombat theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Kang as Lidle shoots in.
Lidle has a takedown stuffed.
Lidle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Lidle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kang throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kang drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lidle is looking for a sweep.
Kang taking a breather here.
Kang lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lidle down.
Kang just content to control the position.
Lidle sneaks back into half guard.

Lidle flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lidle works his way to full guard. Good work.
Lidle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kang is one step ahead there.

Lidle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lidle is stalling here but it's allowed Kang to get half guard.

Lidle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kang does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lidle thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kang's head.
Lidle stalling away here and it's allowed Kang to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Kang wants to sweep but no luck.
Lidle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kang lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lidle!

Lidle tries to hold on but Kang postures up.
Lidle can't escape the position.
Lidle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lidle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Lidle tries to reverse the position but Kang maintains control.
Lidle is breathing heavily.
Kang lands a big elbow.

Oh Lidle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lidle working to try and regain half guard.
Lidle is in a horrible position here. Kang smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kang is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lidle can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Liu Kang dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lidle doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kang counters with a HUGE slam that knocks Lidle out cold!!! When he eventually wakes up, that one's gunna hurt!
