Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Poluga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and H Y Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Poluga might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My Time Is Now . Kwon has chosen TY$ - All Star as his entrance music. H Y Kwon has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elvis Poluga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, H Y Kwon! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kwon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kwon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kwon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Poluga defends it well. Kwon wants to take a breather but Poluga is having none of it. Poluga is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kwon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Poluga has managed to free his arm - good work. Kwon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Poluga knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kwon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poluga keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Poluga is just riding it out for now. Kwon eventually gives up the hold. Kwon is figuring out what he wants to do next. Poluga is trying to stand up here but Kwon is controlling him well. Kwon stalling away here and it's allowed Poluga to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Poluga throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Poluga had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kwon defends it easily. Kwon postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kwon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kwon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Poluga manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kwon has Poluga in his guard. Kwon controls Poluga momentarily but Poluga frees himself. Poluga engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kwon pulls Poluga in close to his closed guard and prevents Poluga from doing any damage or advancing position. Poluga postures up in Kwon's guard and throws a big left but Kwon blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kwon wants to sweep here but Poluga controlling him for the moment. Kwon controls Poluga momentarily but Poluga frees himself.
H Y Kwon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Kwon jabs Poluga right on the nose. Poluga blinks but takes it well. Poluga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kwon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kwon lands a leg kick that knocks Poluga off balance momentarily. Kwon throws a lazy uppercut
and Poluga counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kwon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Poluga manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kwon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kwon lands in his opponent's guard. Kwon trying to control the position from guard on top but Poluga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kwon forces his way into half guard. Kwon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poluga keeps working. Poluga is looking to control Kwon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Poluga avoid being mounted? The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kwon lands a nice short elbow. Poluga trying to control but Kwon postures up.
Poluga makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Poluga. Kwon drops back looking for a leg! Poluga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poluga manages to kick Kwon off! Kwon jumps back into Poluga's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
H Y Kwon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Poluga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kwon pinned against the cage. Kwon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kwon wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kwon with a poor takedown enabling Poluga to counter with a crisp jab. Poluga shoots in looking for a takedown. Kwon tries to sprawl out of it but Poluga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kwon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kwon misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwon thows a body shot but no joy. Kwon connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Kwon with a poor takedown and Poluga counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Poluga shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Poluga landing strikes from the mount and Kwon is in trouble! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Poluga looking to finish Kwon with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kwon! Poluga with the ground and pound from mount. Kwon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kwon gets back to half guard. Poluga trying to control from half guard but Kwon is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kwon is looking to improve his position.
Poluga sitting and controlling from the half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kwon trying to control from the bottom.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kwon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kwon controlling the position well. Poluga is trying to control. Kwon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Poluga shoots and misses and Kwon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elvis Poluga. That's going to take a lot out of him. A big left from Kwon misses. Kwon throws a head kick that misses. Kwon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Poluga looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Kwon working the ground and pound. Poluga is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kwon is controlling him well. Kwon tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Poluga is looking to regain half guard here but Kwon keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kwon in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Kwon lands a few punches from side control. Kwon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kwon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kwon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poluga keeps working. Poluga is trying to improve his position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kwon trying to control the action but Poluga is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
H Y Kwon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Kwon misses with a takedown and Poluga counters with a shoot takedown. Kwon fights it but they end up in guard. Poluga is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kwon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Poluga has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kwon is working away from the top position though. Kwon wants to work for an arm triangle but Poluga is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Poluga is doing well to control the position and prevent Kwon from advancing to side control. Poluga is staying active underneath Kwon, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kwon throwing shots but Poluga is blocking nicely. Poluga keeping moving, preventing Kwon from controlling successfully. Kwon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kwon throwing strikes but missing. Kwon drops back looking for a leg! Poluga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poluga manages to kick Kwon off! Kwon jumps back into Poluga's guard. Kwon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Poluga is trying to get back to half guard. Poluga can't do much from the bottom here. Poluga tries to bench press Kwon off him but Kwon keeps the position. Elvis Poluga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kwon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kwon looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kwon trying to control the action but Poluga is working from the bottom. Kwon cracks Poluga with a big elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! H Y Kwon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kwon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
