Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Down Low (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Low's choice of entrance music: Bring The Pain. Frank Mir could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Down Low's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Down Low! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Low will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mir stuffs the takedown. Low shoots for a double leg takedown but Mir sprawls well. He's pushed Low's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Frank Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Down Low. Mir closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Low to the mat! Low manages to get full guard. Low tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Low is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Low avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Low escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mir working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Low wants to control but Mir passes easily into half guard.
Mir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mir is working for a kimura here but Low manages to reverse the position and he's now in Mir's guard.
Low avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Low drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Low seems to have locked his on tight now - Mir screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Low, as he picks up the win!
