Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Hamilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slava Vitruk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Slava Vitruk!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitruk fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Vitruk fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hamilton checks it well.
Vitruk misses with a two punch combination.
Vitruk is looking to clinch but Hamilton is avoiding it.
Vitruk tries to clinch up.
Vitruk tries to close the distance and clinch but Hamilton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hamilton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vitruk missing with a left hand there. Hamilton was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Hamilton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Vitruk is looking to get back to is feet but Hamilton passes into side control.
Vitruk is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hamilton is controlling him well.
Hamilton has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Vitruk is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vitruk can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vitruk has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hamilton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vitruk for as long as he can get away with.

Hamilton shoots in for a double leg but Vitruk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Slava Vitruk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hamilton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

You get the feeling that Vitruk really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Hamilton uses his free foot to push down on Vitruk's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vitruk.

Vitruk is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Hamilton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Vitruk is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vitruk really wants to buck Hamilton off and get back to his feet.

Hamilton sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Vitruk is trying to escape the mount but Hamilton keeps good control and instead manages to take Vitruk's back.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hamilton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
