Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duse smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Duse smith has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duse smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan blocks a head kick by smith.
Ryan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ryan moves in looking to clinch but smith pushes him off.
smith wants to clinch but Ryan slips to the side
and Ryan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in smith's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryan trying to control but smith is working from the bottom.
Ryan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ryan wants to control from the top but smith keeps moving.
Ryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
smith is trying to control the position but Ryan postures up.
Ryan wanted to stand there but smith had control of the position.
Ryan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ryan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
smith kicks Ryan off and gets to his feet.
Ryan shoots in for a takedown but smith shows good takedown defense.
smith throws a combination. Ryan tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
smith scores with a nice body kick.
smith doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ryan counters with a single leg into guard. smith didn't expect that.
Ryan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ryan looks gassed!
Ryan wanted to stand there but smith had control of the position.

Ryan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
smith is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Ryan looking to sit in guard and control but smith gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
smith scoring with punches to the head and body.

smith wants to stand but Ryan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
smith trying to control but Ryan is working from the bottom.
smith preventing the sweep.

smith wants to stand but Ryan is controlling his posture from full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ryan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
smith is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ryan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to smith's body to avoid the submission. smith has instead reached around Ryan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! smith arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
