Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaennor Malaipet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malaipet has chosen CLASH - Crashing as his entrance music. Ben Askren had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Askren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kaennor Malaipet! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Malaipet looks like he's trying to stand up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Askren connects with a nice short shot to Malaipet's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Askren throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Askren is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Malaipet doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Askren. Malaipet is trying to stand back up but Askren is controlling him
Askren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Malaipet desperately trying to maintain half guard. Askren is looking to take a break and control but Malaipet is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Askren wants to free his trapped foot but Malaipet is holding on for dear life with his legs.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Malaipet is trying to get back to full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Askren shoots in for a double leg but Malaipet sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Horrible takedown by Askren or perhaps it was just good defense by Malaipet which made him look bad. Kaennor Malaipet is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Askren shoots in for a takedown but Malaipet shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Askren. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice leg kick lands there from Malaipet. Askren shoots in but Malaipet avoids the takedown attempt easily. Malaipet tries to clinch but Askren is having none of it. A slapping leg kick lands for Malaipet.
Askren is breathing heavily. Malaipet dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Askren. That did some damage! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Malaipet lands a big head kick that sends Askren tumbling to the mat! Malaipet takes a step backwards and waves Askren back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Ben Askren has been cut. Malaipet feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Askren's calf. Malaipet lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Askren crumples to the floor! Malaipet milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
