Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russ Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rockin Rolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russ Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rockin Rolla!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rolla avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Foster lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rolla backs up against the cage.
Foster tries to bum rush Rolla with a series of wild strikes but Rolla uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Foster tries to close the distance and clinch but Rolla swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Foster throws a series of punches but Rolla avoids them all with ease.

Rolla shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Rolla stands and steps away. Foster gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Foster lands a head shot.
Foster throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Foster throws out a leg kick but Rolla moves out of range and Foster only half commits.
Rolla is looking to clinch but Foster is avoiding it.
Foster scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Foster misses with a few strikes there.
Foster avoids the body shot from Rolla.
Russ Foster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Foster tries to keep at a distance but Rolla has taken the fight into the clinch.
Foster is looking to break free of the clinch but Rolla has double underhooks.
Rolla tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Foster just stands there and leans against the cage.
Foster is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Foster lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Rolla tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Foster smiles and moves away.

and Rolla counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Foster!
Rolla lands a big elbow.


It looks like Russ Foster has been cut.

Rolla has control of Foster's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Foster regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Rolla looking to secure an arm triangle but Foster defends it well.

Foster wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rolla wants to control the pace but Foster is squirming around nicely.

Rolla looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Foster is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Rolla is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Foster can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Foster is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Rolla looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Foster is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Rolla trying to control but Foster is having none of it.

Rolla tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Foster really wants to buck Rolla off and get back to his feet.

Rolla looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Foster trying desperately to get to his feet.
Foster prevents Rolla from taking his back.
Rolla is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Rolla jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Foster manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Rolla wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Foster, who protects the arm well.
Foster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rolla on the ground.
Rolla tries to move into full mount but can't pass Foster's legs.
Foster is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Foster clinches but Rolla breaks the clinch

and Rolla counters with a shoot takedown. Foster fights it but they end up in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rockin Rolla dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Russ Foster's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Foster lands a front kick.
Foster throws a series of punches but Rolla avoids them all with ease.
Foster is looking to clinch but Rolla is avoiding it.

A right-left combo lands from Foster.
Foster falls off balance throwing a combination

and Rolla counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rolla.
Rolla is pressed up against the cage. Foster has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rolla down to the mat. Rolla avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rolla closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Foster to the mat! Foster manages to get full guard.
Rolla in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Foster is looking to stand back up but Rolla counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Foster.
Foster is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Rolla is working to tighten is grip on Foster's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Foster has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rolla is really squeezing tight and eventually Foster passes out! Rolla breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Rockin Rolla!
