The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rodrigues fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rodrigues ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Nice uppercut there from Silva.
It looks like Fabio Rodrigues has been cut.
Silva instigates a clinch.
A short right from Silva.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Silva creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rodrigues on the side of the head.
Rodrigues takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rodrigues misses with a straight left.
Rodrigues fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rodrigues lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Rodrigues misses with a wild combination.
Rodrigues tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva scores with a hook.
That has opened up Fabio Rodrigues's cut even more.
Rodrigues takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rodrigues looks gassed!
Rodrigues wants to clinch.
Rodrigues tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Silva drops Rodrigues with a beautiful combination! Rodrigues stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Silva is looking for the KO!
Rodrigues is rocked!
Silva cracks a nice hook into Rodrigues's ribs.
Rodrigues loses concentration momentarily and Silva pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Rodrigues crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Silva finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
