The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCousin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva lands a jab.
It looks like Luis McCousin has been cut.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McCousin looks to throw the jab but Silva is out of range.
Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Silva lands an elbow inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Silva creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Silva gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Silva scores with a shot to the side of McCousin's head.
That has opened up Luis McCousin's cut even more.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Silva.
Silva lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McCousin backwards.
McCousin being controlled against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Silva creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Silva makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Silva lands a damaging elbow.
McCousin is rocked!
The cut above Luis McCousin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva pushes McCousin back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
McCousin is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
Silva lands a big right hand that drops McCousin! The killer instinct kicks in and Silva finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Silva!
