Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Victor Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julian Reis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julian Reis!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ribeiro paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Reis throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Ribeiro lunges at Reis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Reis's hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Reis tries to clinch up.
Ribeiro throws a hook to the side of Reis's head but Reis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice defenses there by Reis.

Reis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Reis tries for a takedown but Ribeiro manages to get underhooks.
Reis can't get the takedown.
Reis tries to score a body lock takedown but Ribeiro shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Victor Ribeiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julian Reis.

Ribeiro uses his free foot to push down on Reis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Reis.

Ribeiro is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reis has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Victor Ribeiro will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
