And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Kowalsky!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalsky fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kowalsky wants to clinch up but Weiner keeps it at a distance.
Weiner works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Weiner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Weiner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kowalsky was well out of range. Poor timing from Weiner.

Weiner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kowalsky moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Weiner throws a lazy right hand but Kowalsky sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Weiner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Weiner loads up on a big right hand but Kowalsky slips the punch.
Kowalsky jabs Weiner right on the nose. Weiner blinks but takes it well.
Kowalsky moves in looking to clinch but Weiner pushes him off.
A big left from Weiner misses.
Kowalsky slips a straight right by Weiner.

Weiner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kowalsky slips under a jab.
Carlos Weiner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Weiner cracks Kowalsky with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A slow jab from Weiner misses its intended target.
Kowalsky uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Weiner has time to react.
Weiner scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kowalsky in his tracks.

Kowalsky throws out a loose jab but Weiner uses good head movement to avoid it.

Weiner throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kowalsky seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Weiner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Weiner cracks Kowalsky with a right hand to the side of the head.
Weiner slips under a jab from Kowalsky.
Kowalsky bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Weiner's head.
Kowalsky tries to clinch up.
Weiner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Weiner slaps away a takedown attempt from Kowalsky, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Weiner misses with a looping left.
Kowalsky has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kowalsky there as he acknowledges the shot.
Weiner misses with a hook to the body
and Kowalsky cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Weiner scores with a hook to the body. Kowalsky takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Weiner throws the left hand but Kowalsky avoids the punch easily.
Kowalsky tries to clinch but Weiner moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kowalsky looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Weiner is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Weiner catches Kowalsky with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Weiner uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Weiner looks to land a right hand but Kowalsky moved out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kowalsky instigates a clinch.
Kowalsky has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Weiner avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kowalsky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Weiner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kowalsky looks gassed!

Weiner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kowalsky missing with a left hand there. Weiner was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kowalsky is trying desperately to land a takedown but Weiner is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kowalsky.
Kowalsky tries to clinch there but Weiner circles away.
Weiner walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kowalsky drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Weiner swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kowalsky's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlos Weiner!
