Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Moni Cvetkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cvetkov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Teletubbies. Moni Cvetkov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Johnny Holmes's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cvetkov avoids it really well and circles away.
Holmes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cvetkov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cvetkov lands in his opponent's guard.
Cvetkov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Cvetkov passes into half guard.
Holmes is not content to let Cvetkov control the position.
Cvetkov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Cvetkov winds up and cracks Holmes with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Holmes is trying to stand up here but Cvetkov is controlling him well.

Holmes is refusing to be controlled, as Cvetkov sits in half guard.
Holmes trying to control but Cvetkov postures up.
Cvetkov trying to control from Holmes's half guard. Holmes has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Cvetkov won't allow Holmes to sweep him here.
Cvetkov looking to sit in guard and control but Holmes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Holmes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Holmes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Holmes wants to get up but he can't break Cvetkov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cvetkov holds on and takes a little breather.
Cvetkov has a closed guard, preventing Holmes from standing up.
Cvetkov scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cvetkov keeps the fight on the outside.
Holmes misses with a takedown attempt
so Cvetkov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cvetkov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cvetkov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Holmes is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holmes trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holmes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cvetkov!
Holmes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cvetkov is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Holmes lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Holmes landing strikes from the mount.
Holmes putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Holmes wants to control the pace but Cvetkov is squirming around nicely.
Holmes is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Cvetkov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Cvetkov!
Cvetkov trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Holmes manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Moni Cvetkov dominated that round.

Cvetkov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Cvetkov trying to control but Holmes is having none of it.
Holmes tries to reverse the position but Cvetkov maintains control.

Cvetkov avoids the attempt from Holmes to control.

Holmes working to try and regain half guard.
Holmes wants to hold on but Cvetkov pushes him away.
Holmes tries to control Cvetkov's head but Cvetkov pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Holmes is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
