Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Russell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eino Kiiveri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russell's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, British Marching Tune - The British Grenadiers. Kiiveri has chosen Teflon Brothers - Matkal Kotiin as his entrance music. Jack Russell has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Eino Kiiveri!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell tries to move into range but Kiiveri moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Russell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kiiveri.
Kiiveri misses with a looping left.
Russell dives in and grabs Kiiveri's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kiiveri pushes down on Russell's head and hops out.
Russell shoots in for a double leg but Kiiveri sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kiiveri has managed to clinch.
Russell fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Russell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Russell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The fighters circling - Kiiveri throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Horrible takedown by Russell or perhaps it was just good defense by Kiiveri which made him look bad.
Kiiveri lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Russell dodges the punch combination from Kiiveri.

Kiiveri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Russell circles away quickly and effectively.
Kiiveri connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Russell's hands.
Russell lands with a nice combination. Kiiveri backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Eino Kiiveri has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kiiveri takes the fight into the clinch.
Kiiveri lands an elbow that stopped Russell in his tracks for a moment.
Russell blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Russell tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kiiveri just stands there and leans against the cage.

Russell has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kiiveri uses from the top position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Russell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kiiveri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Russell somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kiiveri swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Russell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kiiveri won't be happy with that.
What's Kiiveri going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Kiiveri tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Russell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kiiveri is looking to improve his position.

Russell is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Russell wants to pass the guard but Kiiveri is defending well.
Kiiveri slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kiiveri seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kiiveri manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Russell manages to get himself to full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Russell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kiiveri doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kiiveri manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kiiveri seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Eino Kiiveri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kiiveri lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Russell tries to clinch up.
Russell throws a sloppy head kick and Kiiveri moves out of range easily.
Kiiveri bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Russell's head backwards.
Kiiveri connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Russell wants to clinch up but Kiiveri keeps it at a distance.

Russell manages to pull guard.
Russell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Russell avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Let's hope that Kiiveri has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Eino Kiiveri hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kiiveri.

Russell fails to pull guard.

Kiiveri decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Russell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kiiveri.

Russell walks into a straight right hand from Kiiveri.
Kiiveri fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Russell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Eino Kiiveri seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kiiveri darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kiiveri connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kiiveri ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kiiveri throws an overhand right that lands on Russell's shoulder, as Russell tries to avoid the shot.
Russell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kiiveri changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kiiveri moves into range and clinches up with Russell.
Russell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kiiveri smiles and moves away.
Kiiveri fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Russell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kiiveri throws a jab when Russell was well out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kiiveri connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eino Kiiveri comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kiiveri winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
