Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Hust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Mikhail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, George Hust!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Mikhail!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hust tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mikhail manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Hust with that takedown attempt.

Hust scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mikhail is refusing to be controlled, as Hust sits in half guard.

Mikhail kicks Hust off and gets back to his feet.
Hust fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Hust gets a clinch.

Mikhail turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mikhail manages to end up in side control.
Hust is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mikhail has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Mikhail is trying to ground and pound but Hust uses the momentary lack of control by Mikhail to regain half guard.
Mikhail is trying to control. Hust wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Mikhail is pressing down on Hust's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hust is holding on for now.
Hust is refusing to be controlled, as Mikhail sits in half guard.
Hust is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hust won't allow Mikhail to pass to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hust is doing well to control the position and prevent Mikhail from advancing to side control.
Mikhail is stalling here. Hust is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mikhail seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hust has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Hust goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mikhail rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hust's guard! Nice work there by Mikhail!

Hust is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Hust wants to stand but Mikhail is controlling the position.
Mikhail trying to control but Hust is working from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mikhail scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hust is breathing heavily.
Mikhail moves nicely into side control.
Hust being controlled for a moment.

Mikhail is looking to take a break and control but Hust is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hust takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mikhail trying to control the position but Hust is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vladimir Mikhail dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Mikhail doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hust connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Horrible takedown by Mikhail or perhaps it was just good defense by Hust which made him look bad.
Mikhail wants to clinch up but Hust keeps it at a distance.

George Hust has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Mikhail.
Mikhail doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hust changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hust wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hust tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mikhail is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hust.


It looks like Vladimir Mikhail has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hust lands with a hook. Mikhail tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mikhail is breathing heavily.
Hust connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mikhail circles away from the clinch attempt.

Mikhail avoids the head kick by Hust.
Hust digs a good hook to Mikhail's body.
Hust tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mikhail manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mikhail shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mikhail was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mikhail jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hust is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hust and Mikhail has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Mikhail is looking to take a break and control but Hust is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mikhail tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mikhail has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mikhail wants to control the pace but Hust is squirming around nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hust tries to reverse the position but Mikhail maintains control.
Mikhail avoids the attempt from Hust to control.
Mikhail takes Hust's back.
Mikhail throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Hust!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mikhail is controlling the position but Hust somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

Mikhail is looking for a kimura but Hust is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mikhail to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that George Hust will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Vladimir Mikhail's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Mikhail shoots in but Hust avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Mikhail gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hust to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mikhail has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hust off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Hust throws a leg kick that is checked

and Mikhail counters with a single leg into guard. Hust didn't expect that.
Mikhail passes Hust's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mikhail seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hust does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mikhail passes to full mount!
Mikhail controlling the pace for now.
Mikhail is looking to work his way around to Hust's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Mikhail is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mikhail throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Hust tries to improve his position but instead Mikhail has taken his back!

Hust is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Mikhail is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hust knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hust for a finish.
I would not like to be Hust right now.

Mikhail is trying to control but Hust is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Mikhail is stalling here but it's allowed Hust to get half guard.

Mikhail is working for a kimura but Hust is defending it quite comfortably.
Hust won't allow Mikhail to pass to mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mikhail passes to full mount!

Mikhail looking to secure an arm triangle but Hust defends it well.
Mikhail wants to take his opponent's back but Hust doesn't allow it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mikhail can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hust is looking to escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vladimir Mikhail comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mikhail has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
