Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hertz Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brazlin Palkow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis fails to land with a series of punches.
Palkow doesn't manage to clinch there - Willis circles away.
Willis thows a body shot but no joy.

Willis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Palkow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Willis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Palkow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Palkow is looking for a sweep.
Palkow is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Palkow wants to get back to his feet.
Palkow struggling a bit here.
Palkow tries to bench press Willis off him but Willis keeps the position.

Willis has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Willis throws a right and a left that Palkow avoids nicely.

Willis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Willis counters with a series of strikes. Palkow will be more careful next time no doubt.

Willis tries to free his leg and advance position but Palkow is retaining full guard.
Palkow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Palkow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Willis keeps working.

Willis is refusing to be controlled, as Palkow sits in half guard.
Willis gets back to full guard.
Willis thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Willis is pulling down on Palkow's head to control his posture.

Willis looking for a guillotine here but Palkow defends easily.
Willis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Palkow's guard.
Willis is pushing down on Palkow's leg trying to pass to half guard. Palkow is fighting to maintain full guard but Willis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Willis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Palkow tries to get to full guard but Willis has control of the leg.

Palkow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Willis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Palkow misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Willis.
Willis throws a nice looking combination but Palkow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

so Willis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Willis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Willis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Palkow for as long as he can get away with.
Palkow wants to sweep here but Willis controlling him for the moment.
Willis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Palkow is breathing heavily.

Palkow keeping busy on the bottom but Willis has passed one foot through into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Willis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Palkow doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Willis.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Willis in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Palkow tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Willis!
