Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana tries to clinch up.
carlosfns Santana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akiyra takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Santana closes the distance and clinches up with Akiyra, looking for a takedown. Santana pushes Akiyra against the cage but Akiyra circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Akiyra got a little sloppy there for a moment and Santana has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Akiyra has managed to get both his arms back between Santana's legs - danger averted.

Akiyra drops back looking for a leg! Santana is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santana manages to kick Akiyra off! Akiyra jumps back into Santana's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Santana is working an open guard so Akiyra takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Santana tries to close the distance and clinch but Akiyra swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Santana lands a nice looking kick to the body. Akiyra takes a step back to recover.
Akiyra shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Santana prevents Akiyra from taking his back.
Santana tries to lock up and control but Akiyra gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Akiyra is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Santana can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Santana is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Santana tries to close the distance and clinch but Akiyra swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Akiyra decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Santana's guard.

Akiyra drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Akiyra seems to have locked his on tight now - Santana screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Akiyra, as he picks up the win!
