Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Night Diving. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mauricio Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua tries to clinch but Reynolds moves out of range.
Reynolds lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Mauricio Rua has been cut.
Rua shoots in but no luck this time.
Reynolds closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reynolds lands in his opponent's guard.
Reynolds is looking to work some ground and pound but Rua has wrist control.
Reynolds thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Reynolds drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rua dives on top into guard.
Rua trying to control but Reynolds is working from the bottom.
Reynolds pushes Rua off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Reynolds takes a kick to the side of the head.
Reynolds shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rua is trying to defend but Reynolds finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Rua works his way to full guard. Good work.
Reynolds with a nice head shot there.
Rua looking to control.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Reynolds trying to control but Rua is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rua kicks Reynolds off and gets to his feet.
Reynolds uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rua.
Reynolds misses with a takedown
and Rua counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reynolds is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rua defends well.
Rua looking to pass the guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Reynolds holds on and takes a little breather.
Reynolds wants to sweep here but Rua controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rua is standing up over Reynolds. Reynolds looks to escape but Rua dives into side control.
Rua moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Rua trying to control the position but Reynolds is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Reynolds is pushing Rua's head away, looking to escape. Rua manages to hold on to the position though.
Rua has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Reynolds shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rua napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Rua tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rua is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reynolds lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Rua is looking to regain half guard here but Reynolds keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Matt Reynolds will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Mauricio Rua's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reynolds tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reynolds to the ground. Reynolds escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Reynolds counters with a single leg into guard. Rua didn't expect that.
Rua keeping moving, preventing Reynolds from controlling successfully.
Reynolds drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Reynolds seems to have locked his on tight now - Rua screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Reynolds, as he picks up the win!
