Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh McRoberts!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from England misses.
John England seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McRoberts feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McRoberts is looking for a triangle here but England uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McRoberts throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McRoberts tests England's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McRoberts slips a straight right by England.
England gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
England misses the shot to the body.
England fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McRoberts on the side of the head.


It looks like Josh McRoberts has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McRoberts's corner calls for a 1-2. McRoberts obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A left lands for England.
England misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McRoberts.
A punch lands to the side of McRoberts 's head but he takes it in his stride.

McRoberts decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McRoberts is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
England pushes McRoberts off looking to stand but McRoberts dives back in and keeps control.

McRoberts is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and England defends it well.

McRoberts seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead England has recovered full guard.
England wants to stand but McRoberts is controlling the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McRoberts drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but England manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McRoberts has England in his guard.

England decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McRoberts, up you get!
England swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McRoberts makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. England really felt that one!
McRoberts moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McRoberts blocks a jab.
McRoberts throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

McRoberts shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

McRoberts wants to finish this one by submission but England is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McRoberts.

McRoberts goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now England is on top in guard.

McRoberts is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and England defends well.

England stands up from McRoberts's guard - England perhaps looking for a knockout.
England swings and misses with a hook to the body.
England is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

England tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McRoberts was well out of range. Poor timing from England.
McRoberts shoots in but no luck this time.
McRoberts tries to bum rush England with a series of wild strikes but England uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McRoberts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McRoberts changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. England tries to avoid it but McRoberts manages to keep hold of a leg and drag England to the ground. England escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
England fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

England throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and McRoberts counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in England's guard now.
England is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McRoberts is controlling him.
England trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
England can't keep his opponent in guard - McRoberts advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
McRoberts slows the pace down in half guard.

England looks to score with a jab to the body but McRoberts is just out of range.
McRoberts throws a right hand that England ducks under and follows up with a left that England also avoids with ease.
England has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
England connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McRoberts's hands.

McRoberts steps to the side to avoid the strikes from England.

McRoberts drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McRoberts just content to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
McRoberts wants to control but England is keeping him busy.

McRoberts looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
McRoberts trying to control the position but England is working away.
England is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, McRoberts asserts his dominance and retains side control.

McRoberts is working to tighten is grip on England's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. England has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McRoberts is really squeezing tight and eventually England passes out! McRoberts breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
