Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Genn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nunes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Alive . Gabriel Nunes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Genn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Genn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nunes tries to avoid it but Genn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nunes to the ground. Nunes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Genn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gabriel Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Genn.
Nunes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Genn sprawls well initially but Nunes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Genn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nunes decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nunes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Genn is fending him off so far but Nunes persists. Nope, Genn circles away and we're back to standing.
Genn throws a sloppy head kick and Nunes moves out of range easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Genn lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nunes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nunes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A left lands for Genn.
Genn fails with an attempt to clinch.
Genn finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Genn is defended easily by Nunes.

and Nunes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Genn's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nunes is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Genn has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Genn!
