Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Mosey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Born To Win as his entrance music. Ryan Gracie will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eric Mosey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryan Gracie! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mosey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Gracie swings for the body but Mosey moves out of range.
Mosey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Check out the look on Mosey's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Mosey throws an elbow but Gracie slips to the side and avoids it well. Mosey taking a breather here. Mosey wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well. Gracie pushes Mosey away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mosey gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mosey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Mosey landing a few strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is trying to buck Mosey off. Mosey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gracie is trying to buck Mosey off. Mosey wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Gracie is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mosey asserts his dominance and retains side control. Mosey tries to move to mount but Gracie blocks the move with his legs. Mosey is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mosey taking a breather here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gracie misses with a body shot.
Mosey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gracie as he avoids it easily. Gracie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mosey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Gracie checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Gracie blocks a low kick nicely. Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mosey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Mosey from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gracie wants to stand up but Mosey is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mosey wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mosey defends well. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Mosey from controlling successfully. Mosey prevents Gracie from getting back to his feet. Gracie looks gassed! Mosey passes into half guard. Gracie won't allow Mosey to pass to mount. Mosey is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Gracie is refusing to be controlled, as Mosey sits in half guard. Mosey looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Gracie is trying to stand back up but Mosey is controlling him
Mosey is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mosey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mosey works his way into side control. Mosey advances nicely into full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A swing and a miss from Gracie. Mosey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mosey trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mosey off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Mosey ducks under a wild hook from Gracie. Gracie getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Mosey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Mosey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gracie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mosey. Mosey trying to control from half guard but Gracie is working away.

Mosey prevents Gracie from escaping the position. Mosey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mosey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gracie wants to control but Mosey postures up. Gracie is breathing heavily. Mosey is staying tight to Gracie's torso, preventing him from escaping. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mosey wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.

Gracie is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Mosey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Mosey is really struggling to control Gracie but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mosey looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mosey wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it. Mosey wants to pass the guard but Gracie is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mosey prevents Gracie from improving his position. Mosey with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gracie is trying to get back to full guard. Mosey is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mosey feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Mosey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mosey works a leg free and moves into half guard. Gracie is trying to stand.
Mosey slows the pace down in half guard. Mosey seems to be looking for submissions.

Eric Mosey dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Mosey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Mosey looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Gracie is in trouble now - Mosey has advanced to mount! Mosey trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gracie tries to reverse the position but Mosey maintains control. Gracie manages to regain half guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mosey performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Gracie pushes Mosey off looking to stand but Mosey dives back in and keeps control.
Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gracie tries to escape but Mosey is in control.

Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Gracie wants to get back to his feet. Mosey is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mosey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Eric Mosey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mosey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mosey prevents Gracie from standing back up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gracie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mosey sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ryan Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mosey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Mosey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Mosey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gracie throws Mosey to one side and escapes! Ryan Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mosey drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Mosey wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mosey is controlling him. Mosey controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mosey wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Mosey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Eric Mosey showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mosey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
