Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carmine Munzio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manhoef kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is London Calling. Munzio is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rise Against. Carmine Munzio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Manhoef! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carmine Munzio! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Munzio tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Manhoef paws at him with a jab and circles away. Munzio tries for a takedown but Manhoef sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Munzio looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Manhoef avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Munzio blocks a head kick by Manhoef.
Manhoef stuffs the takedown attempt from Munzio. Munzio gets slowly back to his feet. Munzio takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Manhoef moves into the clinch. Manhoef escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Manhoef pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Manhoef misses with a head kick.
Manhoef scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Manhoef is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Munzio. Manhoef pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Good leg kick by Manhoef there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Munzio looks gassed! Manhoef has Munzio up against the cage in a clinch.
Manhoef unloads a knee to the mid-section. Munzio lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Manhoef is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Munzio gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A knee to the head by Manhoef.
Munzio wants to get back to striking at distance but Manhoef won't allow it.
Manhoef escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Manhoef lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Carmine Munzio has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Munzio shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Peter Manhoef has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carmine Munzio.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manhoef forces Munzio back against the cage and clinches. Manhoef gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Manhoef prevents Munzio from improving his position. Munzio works his way to full guard. Good work. Munzio is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Manhoef knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Munzio on the ground. Munzio is looking for a kimura here.
Munzio is working for a kimura but Manhoef is defending it quite comfortably.
Munzio is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Manhoef has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Munzio is working for a submission of some sort.
Munzio seems to be looking for submissions.
Munzio looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Munzio is working for a kimura but Manhoef is defending it quite comfortably.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Manhoef is trying to maintain the position but Munzio is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munzio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munzio is tying to control. Manhoef wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Munzio frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Munzio quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Munzio but it's paid off an Manhoef is forced to tap! Nice work by Munzio.
