Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Bitonti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Bitonti! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bitonti avoids the body shot from Salazar.
Nice defenses there by Bitonti. Salazar shoots in for a takedown but Bitonti shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bitonti steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Salazar. Salazar misses with a wild body shot. Salazar looks to land a right hand but Bitonti moved out of range. Salazar misses with a double jab.
Bitonti looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Salazar wants to get back to full guard. Salazar trying to hold on to Bitonti's head to control him but Bitonti postures up.
Bitonti working over Salazar with some ground and pound. Salazar looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Salazar is refusing to be controlled, as Bitonti sits in half guard. Bitonti throwing shots but Salazar is blocking nicely. Bitonti is trying to control. Salazar wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Bitonti controlling the action here. Bitonti is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Salazar is looking for a sweep. Bitonti is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bitonti is pressing down on Salazar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Salazar is holding on for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bitonti bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Salazar is trying to improve his position. Salazar gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salazar is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salazar working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bitonti controlling from mount. Salazar is in all sorts of trouble here.
Salazar is working hard here to advance position. Bitonti manages to capitalize on a mistake by Salazar to take his back! Bitonti trying to control. Bitonti has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Salazar breaks Bitonti's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazar trying to control the position from guard on top but Bitonti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Salazar is fighting to break Bitonti's control of his arms but Bitonti is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bitonti trying to control the position.
Salazar looking to pass the guard. Bitonti wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Bitonti's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Anthony Bitonti. Salazar fails with the takedown and Bitonti counters with a low kick, right behind Salazar 's knee. Salazar tries to clinch up. Salazar blocks a leg kick. Bitonti throws a chopping leg kick but Salazar manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Salazar doesn't manage to clinch there - Bitonti circles away.
Salazar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bitonti sprawls well initially but Salazar persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Bitonti preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Bitonti is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bitonti moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony Bitonti dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Salazar throws a lazy right hand but Bitonti sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bitonti takes one on the button. Bitonti digs a good body shot into Salazar's ribs. Bitonti swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Bitonti throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Salazar misses with a wild combination.

A decent looking cross lands there for Bitonti. Salazar staying out of range there. Salazar misses with a takedown and Bitonti counters with a stiff right hand. Bitonti takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bitonti closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bitonti lands in his opponent's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salazar wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitonti works a leg free and moves into half guard. Salazar wants to control but Bitonti is keeping busy and won't allow it. Salazar is trying to get back to full guard. Bitonti is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bitonti wants to pass the guard but Salazar is defending well. Bitonti is working for a submission of some sort.
Salazar gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bitonti is pushing down on Salazar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Salazar is fighting to maintain full guard but Bitonti has managed to sneak the leg through. Bitonti sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Salazar defending well though. Salazar looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bitonti scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Salazar is trying to maintain the position but Bitonti is very close to passing his half guard. Bitonti is trying to control the action in half guard but Salazar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bitonti works his foot free and advances to mount. Bitonti cracks Salazar with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazar gets back to half guard. Bitonti drops an elbow to the side of Salazar's head. Salazar wants to get back to full guard. Bitonti wants to work for an arm triangle but Salazar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Anthony Bitonti showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Salazar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Salazar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Bitonti to counter with a crisp jab. Decent striking displayed by Salazar there. Bitonti shoots in and bounces Salazar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bitonti trying to control the position from guard on top but Salazar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Salazar looking for a sweep. Not yet Salazar, not yet. Salazar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bitonti defends well. Bitonti postures up in Salazar's guard and throws a big left but Salazar blocks it. Bitonti is pushing down on Salazar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Salazar is fighting to maintain full guard but Bitonti has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitonti is keen to just control but Salazar is a slippery customer. Salazar manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bitonti scoring with some ground and pound. Salazar looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bitonti puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Bitonti content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bitonti uses his free foot to push down on Salazar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Salazar. Bitonti unloading with bombs! Salazar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salazar is trying to reverse the position but instead Bitonti has taken his back - oops! Bitonti really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Salazar. Bitonti is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Salazar knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Salazar for a finish. Bitonti is hanging on to Salazar's back as he tries to escape.
Salazar is taking damage to the body and head. Salazar is really stuck here.
Well, with Bitonti on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Salazar is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Salazar is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazar is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bitonti gets his way!
Salazar tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Salazar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bitonti forces the positional change into back control. Miguel Salazar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Anthony Bitonti has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Bitonti's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Salazar turns into Bitonti and is now in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salazar is looking to advance position but Bitonti has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Bitonti trying to control but Salazar is having none of it. Salazar can't escape the position.
Bitonti is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Salazar to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Salazar shrugs it off. Salazar working to try and regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Bitonti comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bitonti has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
