Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Chrismer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez's entrance music is Leggy Blonde. A fine choice. Chrismer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nine Inch Nails - "The Day The World Went Away" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Chrismer! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perez misses with a body kick. Perez swats away the attempt to clinch by Chrismer. Perez tries to keep at a distance but Chrismer has taken the fight into the clinch. Chrismer has Perez pressed against the cage.
Chrismer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Perez shoots in but no luck this time. A decent looking body kick lands there for Perez. Perez tries to clinch but Chrismer moves out of range. Perez shoots in for a takedown but Chrismer shows good takedown defense. Chrismer rushes Perez and presses him up against the cage. Chrismer lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Chrismer missing with knees to the body.
Chrismer tries to land knees in the clinch but Perez avoids the damage to the body. Chrismer pulls guard successfully.
Perez advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chrismer misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Chrismer regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chrismer has his hands on Perez's head, controlling the position. Perez is looking to stand up but Chrismer won't let him. Perez trying to control but Chrismer is working from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chrismer holds on and takes a little breather. Chrismer is looking for a triangle but Perez pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Perez won't allow Chrismer to get back to his feet. Chrismer is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Perez wants to pass the guard but Chrismer is keeping the position. Perez being controlled here momentarily. Chrismer looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perez advances to half guard. Perez blocks the strikes from Chrismer.
Chrismer manages to escape and get back to his feet! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Chrismer. Perez tries to clinch but Chrismer moves away and Chrismer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chrismer. Perez is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Chrismer jumps into guard, dragging Perez to the mat.
Chrismer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Perez tries to free his leg and advance position but Chrismer is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perez trying to control but Chrismer is working from the bottom. Perez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Chrismer is proving hard to escape from. Chrismer keeping moving, preventing Perez from controlling successfully. Chrismer wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Perez manages to pass to side control. Perez moves into full mount! Chrismer won't be happy about that! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Chrismer dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Chrismer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Chrismer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Chrismer stands and throws Perez's legs to the side, diving into side control. Chrismer decides to take the fight back to the feet. Chrismer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Chrismer instigates a clinch. Perez tries to pull guard but Chrismer won't allow it.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Chrismer. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Perez shoots and misses and Chrismer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Perez's guard. Chrismer stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's one minute gone in the round. Chrismer shoots for a takedown but Perez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Chrismer is breathing heavily. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Perez. Chrismer shrugs it off though. Chrismer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Perez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Perez lands a high kick!
Matt Chrismer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chrismer instigates a clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Perez can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Perez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Chrismer wants to stall.

Perez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chrismer pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez fails with the takedown and Chrismer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Perez wants to stand and escape but Chrismer is having none of it. Chrismer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Chrismer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Perez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Chrismer darts in and clinches Perez up against the cage. Chrismer has Perez pushed against the cage. Chrismer receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Chrismer using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Perez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Perez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chrismer just stands there and leans against the cage. Perez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Chrismer has hold of one of Perez's legs. Perez is fighting the takedown attempt but Chrismer gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Chrismer gets to his feet - Perez follows without any prompting. Chrismer moves into the clinch successfully.
Chrismer tries to pull guard but Perez holds him up against the cage and eventually Chrismer drops back down to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Chrismer with a nice head shot there. Perez is looking for a triangle but Chrismer pushes his legs off easily.
Chrismer looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Matt Chrismer has got the better of the ground game so far. Perez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Chrismer trying to control but Perez is working from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Chrismer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Perez gets the takedown into side control. Chrismer is trying to get back to half guard. Perez working away. Chrismer is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Perez is staying active. Chrismer gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Chrismer desperately trying to maintain half guard. Chrismer wants to get back to full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chrismer is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Perez stops Chrismer from getting back to his feet.
Chrismer is doing well to control the position and prevent Perez from advancing to side control. Chrismer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Chrismer is pulling down on Perez's head to control his posture.

Despite being in the dominant position, Matt Chrismer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Perez blocks a head kick by Chrismer.
Chrismer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chrismer lands in his opponent's guard. Perez wants to stand and escape but Chrismer is having none of it. Perez trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Chrismer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Chrismer works a leg free and moves into half guard. Chrismer passes the guard and advances to mount! Perez tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chrismer controlling from the full mount. Chrismer goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Perez is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Chrismer seems keen to control Perez's posture. Chrismer uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Chrismer tries to close the distance and clinch but Perez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ricardo Perez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Perez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Chrismer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chrismer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
